Review on WLCI Placement

At the time of inception, the goal was clear for WLCI School of Business – Creating Skilled Professionals. After close to 20 Years, we have successfully managed to train over 20,000 professionals. These individuals are currently employed at top management positions of various multi-national companies. Some have even started their own enterprises and are leaders in their fields.

WLCI Alumnus credits the institute for the success they have attained. In a recently held alumni meet, many fraternity members were seen discussing their stories. A few of them had approached the faculty members with immense gratitude.

At a personal level, some shared their observation of how they have marked a place in the industry. When at the same time, their peer members from school were still struggling.

WLCI believes in creating relations and bridging any gaps that a student may have. In other words, WLCI focuses on a student’s drawbacks and works hard on strengthening them. Nothing gives the institute and its faculty more pleasure than seeing the fraternity strive for triumph.

Feedback of WLCI Chennai Fashion Students

9th June, 2014 marked the day of Final Jury presentation for the WLCI Fashion Students. With the support and guidance of the esteemed and well qualified professional faculty, the students showcased their collection. This was being scrutinized and judged by a panel of industry drawn jury members. It gives us immense pleasure to state that they left our campus applauding the efforts made by our students.

wlci review

This module of presenting the final collection in front of Jury members helps enhance the confidence of our future designers. It gives them a feel of the real world as they are set up on stage before industry leaders and peers.
Post this presentation; the students receive feedback on how to better their collection. Please note that majority of the time; there are no alterations to the product and/or concept. The collection, thereafter, graces the ramp in a real life fashion show called – Chimera.

All these efforts are done by WLCI College of Fashion in order to enrich and encourage the students to join the league of top designers. If you wish to be a part of this successful fashion institute and get a kick start to your designer dream, then visit -> http://www.wlcifashion.in/

Student Review of WLCI on Portfolio Night

wlci reviewNikita Sharma, who is a ‘Design Student’ at WLCI’s Visual Communication course, recently had quite an exuberating experience at the ‘Portfolio Night’ held at Mumbai this year which was hosted by Lowe-Lintas and their partners.

Nikita Sharma is undergoing the one-of-a-kind paid “Traineeship” programme at WLCI Design School. She got the golden opportunity to attend this event which otherwise only allows professional and pro’s from the advertising and design field. Portfolio Night is the largest and most anticipated global portfolio review and recruitment event which is hosted every year and advertising professionals are ready to give an arm and leg to attend this much sought after event.

In Nikita’s case being a WLCI student and already undergoing a ‘Traineeship’ played in her favor and gave her the required passport to be a part of this coveted occasion. She was more than overjoyed to attend and took her work, her resume and the campaigns she had worked in for showcasing the same to mentors.

She met Ashwin Varkey-Executive Creative Director of Lintas, Ashish Chakravorty –ECD of Contract Advertising and Rajiv Rao-National Creative Director of O and M, to name a few. Her work was reviewed by these stalwarts and was highly appreciated. Apart from the scope of displaying and getting scrutinized by the Industry-leaders you also get to interact with the Advertising and Design Industry experts and get guidance from them. Nikita attended this event in Mumbai and in her own words -
“It was an unbelievable experience that she will cherish forever…”

Nikita has also undergone a paid “Traineeship” at JWT and recently completed her Advanced Certification course in Visual Communications from WLCI Delhi.

WLCI takes a look at Hover Boards

WLCI Design School is taking a look at the new teenage-obsession the "Hoverboards".

They resemble a skateboard without wheels and through special effects, the film-makers have often depicted the boards hovering above the ground.

Many companies are trying their luck at this technology and WLCI Design college hopes that they soon find a break-through at this and customers get to "test" them in real-timelines.
