The WLC College’s Employers’ Council was inaugurated in 1998 with the objective of reducing the gap between the curriculum of the courses being offered at the college and the industry’s need and expectations. To accomplish this feat, senior management from companies which recruit WLC students were invited to join the forum. In 2007, the scope offered by the council was increased to include senior management from all companies in the industry to improve the relevancy of the curriculum.

The Council’s main objective is to review and recreate the entire course content of all the 3 functions of management namely marketing, finance and HR.

“This is an Interesting step by the academic sector to engage the industry in developing the course content. Actually, it seems very logical and surprising as it wasn’t done earlier.
